I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better pet sitter.
Leaving Chin Chin isn’t something I take lightly, especially because he’s a paralyzed chinchilla with quite specific care needs. Erika took the time to come and meet him before I left so she could learn his routine and understand exactly what he needed. Even though it was her first time looking after a paralyzed chinchilla, she did her own research, asked plenty of questions, and made sure she felt confident with his care. That meant a lot to me.
While I was away, she kept me updated with lots of photos and messages, so I never had to wonder how he was doing. It was really reassuring to see him happy and comfortable.
One thing that really stood out was how thoughtful she was. On her last day, she even tidied up my apartment and cleaned the kitchen before she left. It wasn’t something I expected at all, but it was such a lovely surprise to come home to.
It’s obvious that Erika genuinely cares about the animals she looks after, and she puts a lot of effort into making sure both pets and their owners feel comfortable. I wouldn’t hesitate to leave Chin Chin with her again, and I’d happily recommend Just Like Family In Home Petsitting to anyone looking for someone kind, reliable, and trustworthy to care for their pets
